The David Z Foundation is thrilled to embark on its first partnership with Global Lighthouse Studios led by Executive Director and Founder Donna Guerin. It will hopefully be one of many collaborations on the world stage together.
The group we will be working with is a 4th grade class from Athwood Primary in Capetown, South Africa. We will be focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 (https://sdgs.un.org/goals), specifically Goal 3 on good health and wellbeing.
The class will meet both on Zoom and asynchronously to complete project based learning together and build background knowledge on SDG#3 as a basis for the song. Donna and DZF CAO Daniel Roeder will be spearheading this learning in conjunction with the students’ teacher, Jean Davids, and global consultant Jasmane Frans. CEO Paulie Z will be cultivating song creation with the class throughout the process. As the song comes to completion, the foundation will be collaborating with a local recording artist and production team to bring the song to life with a professional track and music video. Empowering the local community surrounding the school is a key part of DZF’s mission as we become co-facilitators with more global change makers.
