David Z Foundation Sweeps Six More International Awards; Named Finalist for "Anthem Community Voice" Award

The David Z Foundation is on a mission to empower students through songwriting. Continuing a global streak of excellence in music education DZF has been recognized with six more major international honors this year, including five silver Telly Awards for their Medley Music and Music Mentor programs and a Gold Davey Award for their "Magic of Colombia", a Medley Music International program delivered with Global Lighthouse Studios.

Five New TELLY Awards Recognize School Partnerships
This spring, the Foundation earned five 46th Annual Telly Awards, one of the world’s leading honors for television and video professionals. Chosen from more than 13,000 entries spanning every continent, the Foundation joined an elite group of 2025 winners that includes Pixar, NASA, ESPN, and MTV. Each award‑winning project celebrates young creators using music as a tool for academic and cultural storytelling:
“Guiding Light” – Silver Telly Award (Best Student Video) Collaboration between RISE‑MESA, Modoc Joint Unified School District Advancing Modoc, and David Z Foundation focused on highlighting Career and Technical Education (CTE) in rural communities

Golden Davey Award for Magic of Colombia
The Foundation’s programs extend beyond the United States. This fall, DZF and partners for "Magic of Colombia" earned a Gold Davey Award for "Magic of Colombia" in the Online Film and Video category. Presented by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, the Daveys spotlight the most creative small agencies and nonprofit teams whose ideas compete on a world stage. This song shares the vibrant rhythms, artistry, and optimism of Colombian students at the Institución Educativa Ciudadela del Sur who took part in the International Medley Music Program with our close partner, Global Lighthouse Studios.
